Worshipping God through music is powerful.  Singing conveys our desires and longings and thanks for God in ways that go beyond what words can do.  You can probably think of a song that connects with your heart’s cry to God, maybe a chorus, or a hymn, or a simple song you learned as a child.  We sing them all… hymns and choruses… songs that express our love to God with our minds and our hearts.

Here’s how we help develop people in music ministry:

  • We help you grow your personal worship so taking it public in worship team is seamless.  In private, we pray through the lyrics of the Psalms, and learn the language of worship.  As a worship team, we make our private worship public.
  • We help you grow your spiritual gifts.  You might worship in different settings and learn different things about how God’s gifted you for serving His church.  You might try leading kids in worship, or singing at a nursing home, or in a small group and find yourself expressing worship in a unique way.  You may be more exhorting, encouraging, or prayerful in your expression because God’s gifted you this way.
  • We help you grow your musical skills.  We’ll glean from one another and play, listen, coach each other on our guitars, vocals, piano, drums, etc.  We’ll help you learn how to play individually and play in a team.

“…Be filled with the Spirit. Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” – Ephesians 5:18b-20
